Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna's revenge porn lawsuit called off just hours before trial started

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna (whose real name is Angela White) have reportedly settled their revenge porn lawsuit just hours before the trial was due to start.

The former couple – who dated on and off from 2016 to 2017 and share a five-year-old daughter together – were due to appear in court over a revenge porn claim filed by Chyna, but TMZ reports that the case was called off at the eleventh hour.

ICYMI, in 2017 Chyna filed a lawsuit against Kardashian and claimed to have suffered "significant damages" after he posted a series of social media posts which included allegations of infidelity, drug and alcohol abuse and several nude photos. Chyna claimed that the social media posts, and the scandal that followed, resulted in her and Kardashian's reality TV series, Rob & Chyna, being cancelled after the first season – something she alleges Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian as well as Kris Jenner and Kylie Jenner played a part in, although they deny any wrongdoing.

But, on Monday the exes reportedly struck a deal with each other, meaning the lawsuit was called off just hours before jury selection was due to commence. "We don't yet know the terms of the deal, or if it was financial, but we do know Rob and his legal team put up quite a fight to prevent the trial from even happening in the first place," TMZ reports.

News of the settlement comes after the pair previously failed to reach an agreement, with the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County denying Kardashian's motion to enforce a settlement. Speaking about the judge's decision, Chyna's lawyer, Lynne Ciani, told People last week: "Chyna is very pleased that the trial judge denied Rob's motion to 'enforce' a settlement that never existed."

Ciani went on, "Without a settlement, Chyna will prove her case to a Los Angeles jury on June 20 that Rob posted devastating revenge porn of her to millions of his Instagram followers without her consent.

"Revenge porn is a very dangerous form of violence predominantly perpetrated against girls and women. Victims of revenge porn typically experience serious anxiety, shame, and helplessness. Some revenge porn victims have committed suicide. Rob Kardashian has never taken responsibility for his heinous and vengeful act of posting revenge porn against Chyna in July 2017. He was never criminally prosecuted. It is finally time for Rob to be held accountable in a court of law."
