Our favorite high school teens from Riverdale have come a long way from the first season. We went from Archie making tough decisions, choosing between his passion for sports and singing, to getting locked up in jail and having MMA-style fights to get out, all while the rest of the cast was hunting down the Gargoyle King. Pretty dark, right?

But the fandom hasn’t lost its spark. Riverheads are more obsessed than ever. Have no doubt that they'll rally their friends and dress as the Rockland County teens this Halloween.

To really nail the costume and make sure everyone in the room knows who you're dressed as, pull from the iconic looks seen during the earlier days of the first season.

From Archie’s letter jacket and Veronica’s black dress and pearls, to Betty's crown crewneck, we’ll break down exactly how to ace the outfit for everyone in your group with these DIY Halloween costumes.

If you and your girlfriends want to be comfy and dress in matching costumes, you can be River Vixen cheerleaders. Their iconic practice outfits are simply a yellow baseball tee, navy shorts, yellow-striped tube socks, and white Keds. For the Cheryl of the group, there's this Riverdale baseball tee with "HBIC" on the back, just like the one she wears.

Even though Cheryl, Betty, and Veronica don't really spend time in these outfits in the second and third seasons, who can forget the epic dance-off between Ronnie and Cheryl in the first season? Don't lie — you downloaded the song and still practice the choreo when it comes on shuffle. I know I do.

Going as a South Side Serpent is even simpler than going as a Vixen. Throw on a dark shirt and pants — preferably black — and top it all off with this faux-leather Serpent jacket. Give it some flair and tie a flannel around your waist like Toni. Riverdale die-hards will rock this jacket well after the Halloween season is over.

If you're going with a big group, you don't need to all look the same. Differentiate from one another and mix it up with a denim jacket or vest, and apply one of these iron-on Serpent patches. Hot Topic also has shirts with the snake emblem already on them.

Archie is obviously best known for his red hair and letter jacket. If you don't have ginger locks, don't sweat it. Just give yourself a classic comb-over — not too slick — and spray on this orange hair dye.

No matter your style, your wardrobe most likely contains a solid tee/henley and jeans. Wear those under the letter jacket, and you'll be transformed into Archie Andrews. Now, about getting abs like his — that's another story.

If you're not looking to spend the money on his letter jacket, there are other staples you could throw on to give off Archie vibes. No one will question who you're trying to be if you're wearing this RHS football shirt.

Going as Hiram Lodge's little mija? There are many different ways to dress up as Ronnie, with her signature New York princess style. Dark-colored skirts or dresses with a statement necklace and heels or booties can complete her look. Just don't forget the pearl choker.

Jughead, the story’s narrator, is always wearing his signature crown-beanie, no matter what scene it is. As long as you have that on, it’s pretty hard to mess up the rest of the costume.

For his pre-leather serpent jacket days, he was most often wearing a jean jacket with lamb-fur trim, his muted gray “S” shirt, jeans, and a flannel tied around his waist.

Betty is all about those blouses and cardigans. Mix and match ones you have in your closet, and pair them with skinny jeans and flats. Don't worry — it'll be obvious which Riverdale High student you're dressed as.

One of Betty's most iconic looks from the show is her crown crewneck sweater she wore for Jughead's birthday. It looks like it was made specifically for the show, but it's actually a $395 Alice + Olivia sweater. It's no longer available, but thankfully there's a knockoff version you can buy. Even if you don't need it for your costume, it's still pretty cute to wear during the fall. Just be sure to wear a white collared shirt underneath and tightly pull back your hair into a pony.

Cheryl is known for her quick, dark comebacks, and her fiery personality is as red-hot as her outfits. If you haven’t noticed, her ginger hair isn’t the only thing that’s red. She loves to play around with red, white, and black ensembles to make a statement.

Channel your inner popular mean-girl-turned-Riverdale’s very own LGBTQ heroine (we totally ship Choni) with a burgundy cape, a lace blouse, and a vintage (-looking) broach. And never forget the red lip.

As a Serpent-turned-queen-bee of the Pretty Poisons, you don’t want to mess with this girl who’s from “the wrong side of the tracks.” As the ring leader of the all-female gang and Cheryl’s love interest, her girly yet gritty personality is depicted through her style. She has that pretty pink ombré hair, a leather jacket, an embellished crop top, and combat boots on rotation.

And although she’s with the Pretty Poisons, she just can’t let go of her Serpent roots, wearing a snake pendant around her neck to remind her of where she came from. Once you get the pink streaks down, plus the snake choker and the Pretty Poisons jacket draped over your shoulders, you’re set.
