The ‘Riverdale’ Cast Group Chat Blew Up After THAT Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse Shoot Went Live
Madelaine Petsch from Riverdale said the cast group chat was blowing TF up when Lili and Cole responded to their breakup rumors on Instagram.

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse—formerly known as Sprousehart, RIP—recently ended their relationship, and it was literally the breakup heard around the freakin’ world. While people began mourning the Riverdale-turned-IRL pairing, W magazine coincidentally happened to release a shiny new cover story with Sprousehart—TOGETHER!—just days after the breakup news broke. It was all very crazy.
Even crazier? Both Lili and Cole responded to their cover shoot on Instagram. It was entirely too much for us all to process, but it wasn’t just us who had a hard time processing everything. As it turns out, the entire cast of Riverdale was freaking TF out too. Good to know!
Madelaine Petsch, who stars as Cheryl Blossom in Riverdale, chatted with Access Hollywood about how the cast reacted when the W story went live. “I knew they were shooting a cover of W. I did not know it was gonna go in that direction,” she said. “That shoot was probably one of the coolest shoots I’ve ever seen.”
After the cover went live, both Lili and Cole responded on their respective IG accounts, basically saying that no one knows sh*t about their breakup. Which...fair!

When the Riverdale cast saw what Lili and Cole posted, they all started freaking out in the group chat. Relatable! “With that caption, I [was] blown away. I loved it. We all got on the group text like, ‘Oh my god! That was so cool!’” Madelaine said. “I love them. I don’t even know how they come up with this stuff. I was so in awe of that moment.”
