Rihanna and Tracee Ellis Ross Shared Photos of Themselves Wearing Designs By Christopher John Rogers On Instagram

When fashion icons like Rihanna and Tracee Ellis Ross wear your designs — and post their looks to Instagram! — you know you've done something right. Both Rih and Tracee showed off brightly-colored, fanciful designs by Rogers on Insta this week, and we're totally coveting everything in his collection.

It's been a big few weeks for Rogers. The designer, who grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, recently debuted his collection of bright colors, glamorous prints, and '80s influences at his first-ever New York Fashion Week Show, and was also named a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist. Celebs have taken notice of his work, with Tracee and Rih being two of the most high-profile fashion icons to don Christopher John Rogers pieces.

Rogers, who was clearly thrilled to see his designs on the celebrities, posted Rihanna's look, a peachy-orange ruched strapless dress that she wore to a Fenty Beauty event in Korea, and Tracee's hot pink moment to his Instagram, writing: "The incomparable, inimitable, iconic, and now #cjrskwerl, Robyn #Rihanna Fenty in the #christopherjohnrogers SS20 Wiggle Dress in Electric Grapefruit confetti dot stretch velveteen at a @fentybeauty event in Seoul, styled by the amazing @illjahjah! Thank you both for noticing our work and for supporting!"

"The eternal fashion mother and supreme inspiration, @traceeellisross in #christopherjohnrogers SS20 Cloud Blouse and Strawberry Skirt in Hibiscus silk taffeta, styled by the amazing and super supportive @karlawelchstylist! 💕💘🌺🚨🎟 Fashion can bring you joy!" he wrote of Tracee's brightly-colored fuschia two-piece look.

Rogers may be relatively new to the fashion scene, but he's already made a tremendous impact with his designs and has become a designer to watch. In February, Rogers spoke to Teen Vogue about his work and mentioned that seeing Tracee in his clothing was one of his dreams — one that came true! He also shared that social media was key to the development of his brand, saying Instagram definitely helped him get noticed. "If it wasn't for Instagram and that nifty little DM button, I don't know that Christopher John Rogers would be as successful as it has been so far." We can't wait to see what's next for Christopher, and if these looks on Rih and Tracee are any indication, we wouldn't be surprised to see a few Christopher John Rogers originals on the red carpet very soon.
