Fans might still be eagerly awaiting the release of Rihanna’s ninth album—which she confirmed to Vogue this month is “reggae-inspired” and coming soon—but she’s made sure to give her loyal followers plenty to keep them entertained in the meantime. Between the ongoing drops from her newly-launched fashion label Fenty and the epic Savage x Fenty show she staged in New York last month, Rihanna might not have been in the recording studio every day, but she certainly hasn’t been slacking.

Now, her fans have something a little more personal to tide them over until the R9 release: a self-described 500-plus page “visual autobiography,” titled simply Rihanna. Featuring over 1,000 images of the singer, the book includes many never-before-seen snaps from her childhood, and dozens of candid, behind-the-scenes moments from across her 14-year career.

Today, she chose to celebrate the launch in appropriately intimate—and very Bad Gal Riri—style, posting an image to Instagram of herself posing nonchalantly, hand in hair, with just the coffee table book itself to conceal her modesty. Surrounded by overflowing bouquets of flowers, she still retained a touch of her signature style with a few pieces of layered jewelry and a pair of red-tinted aviators to match the reverse of her new book. As always, Rihanna didn’t do things by the book, she wore the book.
