  • Rihanna is officially launching three new skincare products on July 31 called Fenty Skin.

  • The main inspiration behind the launch? Her own skin issues and insecurities—because yes, she really is just like us.

Welp, we might not be getting an album from Rihanna anytime soon, but we are getting a skincare line, and that's the next best thing, right? Right. Fenty Skin's first launch will include three multi-tasking products all designed to simplify your skincare routine: a cleanser, a toner, and an SPF moisturizer.

Some fast facts about them:

  • The Total Cleans'r Remove-It-All Cleanser is a makeup remover-cleanser hybrid that dissolves dirt and makeup without completely stripping your skin dry

  • The Fat Water Pore-Refiner Toner is a half-toner, half-serum stacked with ingredients to brighten your skin (think: niacinamide and Barbados cherry)

  • And last, but definitely not least, is the Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen, which TBH, is my favorite. It's a lightweight moisturizer-sunscreen that gives you hydration and protection from UV rays without making you look ashy.

When asked about the inspiration behind her new skincare launch, Rihanna admitted that her skin insecurities are actually what inspired her to launch a line of skincare products. Yup—even Rihanna, a goddess with major BDE, doesn't feel amazing about her skin 100 percent of the time. All of her skincare issues, including hyperpigmentation, sensitivity, blotchiness, and dry patches, gave her major perspective when creating this line.

"I've had different issues with skincare at different points in my life," said Rihanna in an ~intimate~ Zoom conversation with beauty editors (including yours truly, because I've clearly been blessed). "There have been challenges, so you kind of have to figure it out. It's difficult, though, to navigate and get a grasp on what's right for you." This confusion over exactly WTF to put on her face led her to develop a skincare starter pack that's easy-to-use, but still super effective.

Excited, right? All the Fenty Skin goodies are officially launching on July 31st on FentySkin.com, so you'll have to wait a cool 24 hours before you can purchase. Buuut I highly recommend bookmarking the page now, since these are almost guaranteed to sell out fast.
