Rihanna is already making the most of her spring post-quarantine.

Over the weekend, the star was photographed in Santa Monica, California, leaving a dinner party at her new favorite restaurant, Giorgio Baldi, sporting her take on a chic monochromatic look. Rihanna styled what Twitter pointed out as a vintage blue velvet button-up from Gucci's fall/winter 1997 runway collection with patchwork-effect trousers from indie label SPRWMN (pronounced "Superwoman") in similar shades. To streamline the ensemble without outright matching, however, she opted for white pointed-toe pumps by Amina Muaddi.

Rihanna knows a thing or two about striking the balance between casual and cool. Keeping in line with the laid-back retro feel, she layered on gold chains to accentuate the top's neckline and tucked a mini Fendi baguette bag under her arm. As for glam, the beauty mogul went with sleek-straight hair for the occasion and, of course, her signature red lip.

As the paps document the style maven's every move, Rihanna isn't phoning it in. It's clear that the singer-turned-designer is finding inspiration in the archives of some of the fashion greats. Last weekend's ensemble is just one of several iconic Tom Ford-era Gucci looks worn by the singer.

A few weeks ago, she went viral after being photographed wearing a very large, very furry hat with a pair of the luxury Italian house's $15,000 feathered jeans, also crafted during Ford's reign. In true Rihanna fashion, she paired the opulent style with only a basic white tee for a casual outing.
