Rihanna welcomed her first child, a son, with rapper A$AP Rocky on May 13, 2022. During a pre-Super Bowl press conference on Thursday, February 9, the star spoke about being a first-time mom and how it motivated her to take on the super stage.
“When you become a mom, there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world — you can do anything. And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, so as scary as that was… there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all,” she said, per The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s important for my son to see that.”
