We will believe Rihanna every time she teases new music. (She may just be trolling us at this point, but our hope is unwavering.) The superstar and beauty mogul shared the latest update yesterday, while responding to Instagram commenters who were pressing for a new release in her latest post.

What Rih was really celebrating was that her 2016 album, Anti, had spent five whole years on the Billboard 200 chart. She is the first Black woman artist to achieve that milestone. "Grateful to the most High for putting die hard supporters in my circle ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ," she wrote in the caption, while shouting out the announcement's coinciding with Women's History Month. "๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฟ congrats to everyone that contributed to this era, thank you team."

When one commenter wrote that she should release a song to ring in the good news, Rihanna responded, "I think I should," followed by a "soon" emoji. "Just 1 tho lol," she added. So don't get excited for a whole album.

Fans are well aware that the singer has been steadily expanding her fashion and beauty empire in recent years, including an ever-growing cosmetics and skincare line, lingerie line, and a high-fashion line through LVMH. Though the third was shuttered earlier this year, Rihanna's beauty domination continues with the potential launch of Fenty Hair.

As for new music, we'll just have to keep waiting.

"I am always working on music," Rihanna told Entertainment Tonight last summer. "I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it's gonna come out. And you're not going to be disappointed when it happens. It's going to be worth it. I'm not just gonna put it out just because people are waiting. It's taken this long, I'm gonna make it worth it."
