Rihanna is a singer, a fashion designer and an entrepreneur. However, we had no idea how successful the 33-year-old singer has become…until now.

According to Forbes, Rihanna is now a billionaire. (Yes, you read that right.) The mag estimates that the musician is worth around $1.7 billion, making her the richest female musician in the world. Oh, she’s also the second wealthiest female entertainer behind Oprah Winfrey ($2.7 billion).

So, what is Rihanna’s main source of income? Fans might be surprised to learn that it’s not her music. In fact, most of her money comes from her beauty brand, Fenty Beauty. As Forbes points out, Rihanna earned an estimated $1.4 billion from the cosmetics company. (FYI: The singer owns 50 percent of Fenty Beauty, so the total revenue is much higher.)

According to Shannon Coyne (cofounder of Bluestock Advisors), Fenty Beauty’s success is partially due to Rihanna’s inclusive approach. “A lot of women felt there were no lines out there that catered to their skin tone,” she told Forbes. “It was light, medium, medium dark, dark. We all know that’s not reality. She was one of the first brands that came out and said, ‘I want to speak to all of those different people.’”

Rihanna’s next highest revenue stream is her lingerie company, Savage x Fenty. Forbes estimates the brand to be worth around $270 million. The rest of her earnings are attributed to her music career, brand endorsements and other deals.

Leave it to Rihanna to make $270 million look like pocket change.
