Rider Throws Physics Defying BMX Moves On A Mountain Bike

You all likely know by now that I have extraordinary admiration for BMX riding and especially street riders. So, when a clip of Ayaki Omori throwing down comes across my desk, I have to post about it.

Take a look at this absolutely mind-bending clip from one of the best in the business below.

It is wild that he has the ability to generate that much momentum on the ground, especially with a heavy and dynamic bike like a mid travel trail bike. If you have ever tried bunny hopping a trail bike, you will know that is not necessarily difficult, but it is not easy to go very high, let alone to spin like a top while you do it.

This new-ish genre of street BMX inspired mountain biking is awesome in my opinion and I hope it gains more momentum throughout the year. The whole urban MTB scene has been gaining traction - pun intended - recently, and that has opened up and entirely new world of possibilities in the sport. We are stoked to see the urban scene as a whole progress more.
