Rider Somehow Survives Hard "G-Out" On Ill-Advised Rock Roll

In mountain biking, riders often find themselves descending steep sections with hard compressions at the bottom. This is known as a “G-out” referencing the high g-force caused.

Watch British YouTuber Tommy C Hype’s enormous G-out in a quarry below.

In this video, Tommy and a friend happened upon a quarry on their ride and had the idea to conquer a slab line with basically no landing. The impact was in fact severe and he got blown off the bike after landing it.

Mountain bikers everywhere have the desire to conquer steeps like this one. It can become a sort of challenge to other riders to find something even more technical. As mountaineer George Mallory put it, sometimes people want to overcome an obstacle “because it’s there.” Sometimes this is taken to an extreme like riding a slab with a ridiculous g-out you see here.

Tommy C is a British mountain biker and YouTuber known for building wild features. Watch him try a huge drop below.
