Television personality Kyle Richards attends the DIRECTV Celebrates Christmas At Kathy's event at a private residence on Nov. 28, 202,3 in Los Angeles, Calif.

Kyle Richards is celebrating the addition of an adorable new “baby” to her family.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star introduced the new family member in an Instagram video she posted on Friday, Feb. 16. The video features an incredibly fluffy Bernese Mountain puppy wearing a big red bow around her collar.

The reality TV personality wrote in the post that one of her Instagram followers messaged her about a puppy they couldn’t keep. When asked if she could help find the puppy a new home, Richards, 55, said she was sure she could help the “beautiful baby.”

“I purposely didn’t name her so I didn’t get attached while I was looking for the right home for her,” Richards explained. She ultimately decided to keep the puppy.

“I have always wanted a Bernese Mountain dog and it felt like she was meant to be ours,” she wrote.

The puppy doesn’t have a name yet, Richards added, and fans are invited to offer name suggestions as Richards’ family decides on what to call her. Several of Richards’ followers were quick to send in their pitches in the comments.

Richards and her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, are known for having several dogs in their household at a time. At least one of their German Shepherds can be seen in the background of the video that Richards posted of their new puppy.

The exciting puppy news comes as the couple continues working through a tough time in their marriage. Last summer, it was widely reported that Richards and Umansky, who have been married since 1996 and share three daughters, were separated. Despite divorce rumors that swirled last fall, the couple has said they are still living together in their Encino, Calif., family home.

Earlier this week, Richards told Entertainment Tonight that the decision to get a divorce would come “when we can no longer do what we're doing right now.”

The couple spoke about their efforts to work on their relationship during an episode of RHOBH that aired on Feb. 14. Umansky, 53, acknowledged that they had been through “a tough few months” but that they were in “a way better place” due to the work they’ve been putting in to address their issues.

Richards later was open with her RHOBH audience about where her mind is at. “I’m not going to stay in a situation that I’m not happy in,” she said.
