As 2018 comes to a close, it's time to review and reflect on what styles reigned supreme throughout the last year and what we learned along the way—we're moving on from these outdated bathroom trends. Our small but mighty team at MyDomaine HQ has written a multitude of stories this year covering home décor styles, trends, and must-haves but one of our main sources for this information, not unlike many of you, is Instagram. We're constantly seeking out the social platform for ideas, inspiration, and insight into what you're loving, loathing, and excited about.
One of our favorite things to do each December is to uncover what the most liked posts on MyDomaine were. This year, it was no surprise to us that two minimal, modern kitchens with a vintage Persian runner were in the top 10. This has been an overwhelming popular look for 2018, and yet it seems many of you are divided on whether a rug is practical for a kitchen (and a bathroom) or if it's more about aesthetics and purely an Instagram trend.
