These restaurants will be open on Thanksgiving Day

Let's face it, cooking a holiday feast for Thanksgiving requires a lot of work. From the bigger items like turkey and ham to the sides like collard greens, mac and cheese and green bean casserole, many of the most popular dishes require at least a day of preparation.

If the thought of hosting dinner overwhelms you, however, don't fret. According to the National Restaurant Association, the amount of Americans who prefer to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant versus at home has tripled since 2013. Many diners admit to wanting to alleviate the stress and looming clean up duties associated with a massive spread, and restaurants have taken notice. In addition to staying open during the holiday, many chains have begun rolling out prix fixe menus that resemble traditional Thanksgiving dishes.
