New restaurant serving pasta, fries, nachos and more opening this summer in Mall of Louisiana

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A new place to eat is coming to Baton Rouge this summer. Street Food Munchies plans to open its first brick-and-mortar location inside the Mall of Louisiana.

Owner Lataoya Jett said the location is convenient for shoppers, and her new venue gives them the chance to “experience delicious cuisines where the customer service is unmatched.”

Jett said they’ll be in the food court. Right after “you step off the elevator to the right, we will be in the black kiosk in front of Marble Slab” Creamery.

She said “customers can expect an immersive culinary journey.” They’ll be able to try flatbreads, pastas, loaded fries, nachos, seafood overstuffed loaded baked potatoes and NOLA Jazzy Punch.

She said they will be open noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday through Saturday.

The owner said they are planning a grand opening on Saturday, June 1, and will serve “lite bites while supplies last.”

Jett also has a food truck at 4746 Main St., Zachary, and said she will operate both locations.

If you want to try the food truck, their hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It will also be open every other Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

She wants this new location to be the next step in long-term expansion plans.

“I would love to open more locations in the future,” said Jett.
