Boban Marjanovic is a large man.

Even by NBA standards, the 7-3, 290-pound Los Angeles Clippers center is a daunting presence. Like the kind you wouldn’t want to meet in the proverbial dark alley.

NBA giant to star as ‘John Wick’ movie villain

Someone will evidently find his or herself on the wrong end of Marjanovic’s intimidating stature on the big screen, as he has been cast to play an assassin in the upcoming action franchise installment “John Wick: Chapter 3,” Collider reports.

IMDB’s description of the first installment of the Keanu Reeves vehicle reads: “An ex-hitman comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that killed his dog and took everything from him.”

So yeah. This is going to be a long way from the basketball court for Marjanovic.

Neither Marjanovic nor the film’s production company Lionsgate confirmed the report with Collider, but we’re here for the news. Marjanovic, with his giant hands, seems like a potential classic action movie villain in the mold of James Bond bad guys.

We’re guessing Marjanovic’s character will find more creative ways to pull off the kill than simply pulling a trigger.

Collider reports that the movie has an anticipated May 17, 2019 release date.
