Bruins, Charlie McAvoy agree to terms on 3-year deal worth $4.9M AAV
The Boston Bruins have locked up RFA defenseman Charlie McAvoy on a bridge 3-year, $14.7-million contract, the team announced Sunday.

McAvoy has emerged as a part of Boston’s premier young defensive talent in only two full seasons with the club. Throughout 117 regular season games, the 21-year-old tallied 14 goals and 60 points, plus adding another 16 points for Boston in the postseason.
He was drafted by the Boston Bruins 14th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft. The Bruins have $3.2 million remaining in cap space with one RFA, Brandon Carlo, left to sign.
