Remind me, who is Gloria Dayton in The Lincoln Lawyer?

If like us, you raced through the second part of The Lincoln Lawyer season two the minute it dropped on Netflix yesterday (3rd August), then you may be left with some seriously burning questions. Namely, why do I recognise Gloria Dayton (Fiona Rene)? And why has she ended up dead?
In case you somehow missed it, the final scene of The Lincoln Lawyer season two sees Mickey (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) discover Gloria Dayton aka Glory Days aka Giselle Dallinger has been murdered and her friend has been accused of the crime.
The season ends with Mickey staring at her dead body, presumably setting up the investigation into Gloria's murder as the premise of a potential season three.
But before we dig into theories of what could have happened to Gloria, here's everything you need to know about Gloria before her death.
Who is Gloria Dayton in The Lincoln Lawyer?
If you ended season two of The Lincoln Lawyer shouting at the TV "Omg I think I know her", when Gloria Dayton's body was shown, it's because you do.
Gloria Dayton, or Glory Days, as she has been known throughout most of The Lincoln Lawyer, was introduced in season one. She's a sex worker who Mickey was searching for in order to help with the Jesus Menendez case.
Gloria ended up testifying that the man who had killed Martha had a tattoo on his left arm, which Menendez didn't have. Her testimony was crucial in getting Menendez cleared of the case.
What happened to Gloria Dayton in season 2?
In season two, Mickey knew the DA would retry Menendez's case and that he would then have to bring Gloria back to testify again. However, Gloria was nowhere to be found until she was arrested for drug possession.
Mickey went down to help Gloria, who claimed she had been set up for the drug arrest. She said one client had paid her with cocaine, and then her next client, who turned out to be an undercover cop, arrested her for drug possession. Yeah, seems a little suspicious to us.
Thankfully Mickey managed to get her off the charges and released. Things went from bad to worse however, when Cisco discovered there was a plan to kill Gloria. But Cisco and the police managed to find the culprit first before he could cause real harm.
After everything she went through Gloria told Mickey she was planning to go home to Hawaii and spend some time with her family. And it appears she followed through with the plan after Mickey received a postcard from her in the latter part of the season.
So it's a happy ending right? Yeah not exactly.
What happened to Gloria at the end of The Lincoln Lawyer season 2?
As The Lincoln Lawyer season two wraps up, Mickey gets a call from Izzy who says he has a new client - Julian Lacosse.
Mickey visits Lacosse in jail who says he has been accused of murdering his friend Giselle Dallinger, and that Giselle told Lacosse if he ever got in trouble he should call Mickey.
Mickey says he doesn't know a Giselle, until he heads down to the mortuary where he discovers he does in fact know Giselle, except he knows her by the name Glory Days aka Gloria Dayton.
The season ends with Mickey looking shocked and saddened to see Gloria on the morgue table, with no explanation as to who has caused Gloria's death.
Will a potential season three see Mickey find justice for Gloria? We sure hope so.
