  • Reese Witherspoon revealed she was asked to come back to Friends for another episode.

  • Reese told Jennifer Aniston she was too scared and turned down the offer.

Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston are currently co-starring in The Morning Show, but lest! you! forget! they first worked together on Friends. Reese played Rachel’s somewhat bratty-but-lovable little sister who comes to New York City to, IDK, basically annoy her/“make it on her own.” Actually, let’s just go ahead and watch the clip because MEMORIES.

Obviously, Reese was iconic as Jill, person who memorized her dad’s credit card account at the age of 15. And also obviously, she was asked to come back on the show. But while talking to Jennifer about live TV during an interview with the Associated Press, Reese revealed that she turned down the offer. Their convo about this ~shocking~ news went down when Reese was giving Jennifer a compliment about how good she is in front of a live audience (true)—but when Jen tried to return the favor by saying, “You are, too, you forget it because you blacked out from fear,” Reese shot her down.

“I’ve never done it again,” she said. “Did you know they asked me back and I said I can’t do it? I got...I was too scared. I got scared! They asked me to come back and I was like, ‘I’m too nervous.’ You know what else is terrifying? Saturday Night Live. Terrifying.”

Bummer Reese never returned to Friends, but Access Hollywood got her and Jennifer to literally recreate their Rachel and Jill scene, so at least there’s that:
