Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe's Son Deacon, 16, to Release Debut Song 'Long Run'

Deacon Phillippe, son of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe, is carving out his own path in the entertainment industry.

On Friday, the 16-year-old is scheduled to release his first-ever single, titled “Long Run,” that features Scottish singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt.

Posting to Instagram on Monday, Phillippe announced the song’s upcoming release by sharing its black and white cover art that features the young crooner — going simply by Deacon — gazing off to the side in a dark sweater with his blonde hair slicked back.

In the comments section of the post, his proud parents cheer on their son's new artistic venture, with Witherspoon writing, "It’s SOOOOO good !! ✨" as his father commented a simple fire emoji. Sister Ava also commented, "so hyped 🔥."

Nesbitt, who is featured on the song with Phillippe, shared an Instagram video on July 1, teasing the duo's upcoming collaboration.

Captioning the post with a simple three exclamation points, Nesbitt uploaded a fun video of herself dressed up in all white, with a piece of paper wrapped across her torso that read "NEW SONG THIS MONTH."

As she turned her back to the camera, another piece of paper revealing the words "MAYBE 2?!" appeared, before a shot of her walking back into the frame holding a "BANGERS ONLY" sign showed.

Phillippe took to the comments section of the post and wrote, "Out here saving 2020," alluding to the pair's upcoming song.

Phillippe made headlines last year when he went viral alongside his famous mom, teaching her how to use the megapopular social media app TikTok and about all of the trends that appear on the app.

“Deacon, this is very important. I’ve brought you here because I have questions for you,” Witherspoon told her son in a hilarious social media post, before he playfully muttered, “Oh God.”

After giving a brief explanation of the app and describing it as a “short-form video platform” where people upload clips of themselves lip-syncing or moving around to popular songs, Phillippe was asked if she should join the app.

“Should I be on TikTok?” Witherspoon asked. Even though her son didn’t seem quite as enthusiastic as she did, she tasked him with helping her make her very first post.

Earlier this year, Phillippe continued to show off his mastery TikTok skills in a February video, explaining to his mom what it means to “dap somebody up” before walking her through the steps.

Dapping is “like a handshake that I do with my friends,” Deacon explains, before walking his mom through the steps.
