People Had Some Sad But Funny Reactions To The News Of Reese Witherspoon Getting A Divorce
It's over for Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth.
The couple announced their divorce today after almost 12 years of marriage.
"We have some personal news to share..." they said in a joint statement shared on Reese's Instagram. "It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together."
"Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter," they continued. "These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone's respect for our family's privacy at this time."
According to People, Reese started dating Jim, a talent agent, in 2010 and got engaged to him later that year. They married in March of 2011 and welcomed their first and only child, Tennessee, in 2012.
Reese also has two children, Ava and Deacon, from her marriage to Ryan Phillippe.
