It’s official! Rumors were circulating that Reese’s Chocolate Lovers Cups and Reese’s Peanut Butter Lovers Cups were coming back, and now we can confirm that it is in fact happening. Whether you love the chocolate or peanut butter part of a Reese’s more, you can grab a pack that caters to your snack needs nationwide beginning in mid-April. The limited-edition packs come in both regular ($1.11) and king ($1.66) sizes.

“The new Reese’s Peanut Butter Lovers will literally have a peanut butter candy top shell, and the new Reese’s Chocolate Lovers is more chocolate than we’ve ever packed into a Reese’s cup,” a Reese’s representative told Best Products in an email.

As a society, we are never going to agree on one of the world’s most pressing issues: What should the proper chocolate-to-peanut-butter ratio be in a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup? Despite this reality that we have to accept, Hershey’s is making the debate a bit more civil with the release of Reese’s Chocolate Lovers and Reese’s Peanut Butter Lovers cups.

The cups were spotted at the NACS Show in October 2018. The Reese’s Chocolate Lovers cup start with a milk chocolate bottom, followed by a peanut butter middle, and topped with a thicker chocolate top layer than the typical cup. The Reese’s Peanut Butter Lovers cups have a milk chocolate bottom, peanut butter middle, and a peanut butter layer across the top. So whether you favor the chocolate or peanut butter part of the classic treat, you can get the best one for you.

While these cups might look new to you, they are a blast from the past. Both the Chocolate Lovers and Peanut Butter Lovers launched over 10 years ago, and have made appearances on store shelves throughout the years. However, back then, the Reese’s Peanut Butter Lovers appeared to be all peanut butter and no chocolate.

According to Instagram account @junkfoodmom, both kinds of cups are making a comeback “soon.” And you know we’ll be first in line to check them out!
