Reddit user makes 'gross' discovery about chicken sandwich: 'Hope I don't die'

PSA: Always double-check that your meat is cooked before you dig in.

Always double-check that your meat is cooked before you dig in. If you don’t, you might just end up eating a piece of raw chicken without even realizing it.

Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to Reddit user dymbrulee. In the r/Wellthatsucks subreddit, they shared the story of how they accidentally ate the majority of a piece of undercooked chicken before realizing that it was, well, undercooked.

“Ate while driving, so didn’t pay attention,” they wrote. “Got most of the way through when I realized the chicken was 100% raw. Hope I don’t die later.”

Naturally, people were disgusted by dymbrulee’s horrifying discovery.

“It’s so f****** raw it’s still crossing the street!” one person joked.

“You sir will be shitting and puking simultaneously in your bath tub for the rest of the night,” another user added.

“So gross, I always worry about undercooked chicken at fast food places,” a third person said. “Was this McDonald’s?” (If you’re curious, dymbrulee responded that they got the sandwich at a place that “rhymes with shmarby’s.”)

In a follow-up comment, dymbrulee assured commenters that they are “alive and well,” despite eating a severely undercooked piece of chicken. They also explained that the reason it took them so long to figure out that the chicken was undercooked is because they are anosmic, meaning they “don’t taste beyond salt, sweet, bitter, sour.”
