Rebel Wilson Is So Close to Reaching Her Weight Loss Goals Thanks to Early Workouts

The grind never stops for Rebel Wilson. After declaring 2020 her “Year of Health” in January, the Pitch Perfect actress has totally overhauled her lifestyle in order to meet her goal weight of 165 pounds (even though we think she looks stunning already!).

On Sunday, Wilson gave an update on her weight loss transformation, sharing that she’s just six pounds away from achieving her goal. The actress posted a photo to Instagram of her pausing to take in a gorgeous view on a morning hike. Apparently, a.m. workouts have been an integral part of her fitness routine.

“Happy Sunday everyone! Gearing up for a great week ahead. This week was super busy but I got up super early three times (6a.m. 😜) and went on a hike...even did a couple of 100 m sprints to get the heart rate even higher (although my ‘sprint’ is probably someone else’s ‘slow jog’ 😝) but I felt proud of myself and now only 3 kgs away from my goal weight!” she wrote in the caption.

People flooded the comments with support. “Proud of you! Keep going queen❤️,” one fan wrote. “I am so inspired by you,” another added.

Throughout the year, Wilson has been sharing regular updates about her progress on Instagram, and she’s been working hard in the gym.

From hikes to personal training sessions to boxing workouts, her fitness routine has been intense, to say the least. In January, Wilson’s trainer, Jono Castano Acero, shared a video of her flipping a freaking tire! He also said she’s been hitting the gym (pre-COVID) seven days a week.

Wilson has also been reportedly following the Mayr Method Diet, a strict plan that focuses on reducing snacking, gluten, and dairy, as well as specific eating habits, like chewing foods for a longer period of time.

The actress opened up about her diet changes earlier this year. In a January Instagram, Wilson shared that she was “trying to avoid the sugar and junk food, which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it! Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?” (That said, she still gives herself wiggle room for a treat yourself moment.)

Ten months later, it looks like Wilson has stayed extremely committed to her health goals, and her “Year of Health” seems to be a success already. Go, Rebel!
