Rebecca Minkoff Swears By Vagina Therapy (and Here’s Why You Should Too)
Three women walk into a podcast studio...and got us all thinking about vagina therapy. At least, that's what happened when Daphne Oz and Hilaria Baldwin invited special guest Rebecca Minkoff to share her experiences with it on Mom Brain, an uproariously funny, brand-new parenting podcast.
What is it exactly? Vagina therapy comes in all forms, depending on your exact needs and birthing experience, but it can help new moms recover from vaginal tearing, constipation, hemorrhoids, lower back, hip and pubic bone pain and improve overall sexual health, too. In other words? It's kind of critical for new moms looking to properly mend their vagina and return to their pre-baby self. (Come on, imagine a world where you don't pee a little every time you laugh.)
To do it, you'll need to go to a licensed practitioner—a quick Google search should pull up a list of those offering the service in your area. While this type of therapy is routinely prescribed to new moms in France and other European countries as part of their postnatal care package, as of right now it's not typically covered by insurance in the U.S...a hot-button issue for women who endorse it.
For the record, Minkoff swears by the therapy and even shares a trick for getting her husband in on the action.
Hey, the more (mom stuff) you know.
