Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel is on the mend after a near-fatal reaction to fish that landed her in the hospital. Bethenny took to Twitter to write that she was rushed to the hospital on Sunday after eating soup that must have contained or been contaminated by fish.

"I have rare fish allergy. Sun,I had soup, itched & was unconscious for 15 mins then to ER & ICU for 2 days w BP of 60/40.I couldn’t talk, see, thought I had a stroke & dying & told if 5 mins later I’d be dead. 911 & EPI saved me.I’ll never not carry an #epipen @newtonwellesley xo"

Bethenny hasn't been very vocal about her severe non-shellfish allergy, because as she went on to share on Twitter, "It’s very unusual & confusing so I keep it to myself bc it is hard to describe."

On the most recent season on RHONY, fans watched the reality star suffered an allergic reaction to fish during a trip to Cartagena, Colombia. Ironically, it was soup that triggered the reaction then, too, and Bethenny rushed from the table to the bathroom, later revealing she'd thrown up.

Despite the scare, Bethenny has turned the experience into a charity project. She tweeted that her next deed would be to get the hospital at which she was treated, Newton Wellesley in Newton, MA, new mattresses from Casper.

After she revealed Casper wouldn't be able to help, Wayfair and Leesa offered their help:

Bethenny also shared that she'd be making it her mission to donate expensive EpiPens to schools and children's organizations.
