OK, friends, gather ‘round for story time: Ever since I started going on my #hotgirlwalks at the start of the pandemic, I’ve walked by several local pickleball courts. At first, there were just a handful of people playing, but as my walks became more frequent, the courts became more packed with pickleball pairs. Who knew this sport was so dang popular?!

As it turns out, popular might be a bit of an understatement. According to a report by the Association of Pickleball Professionals, an estimated 36.5 million people (!!!) played pickleball from August 2021 to August 2022, making it one of the fastest-growing sports nationwide. Given this pickleball palooza that’s happening rn, you might be wondering if you’re missing out. The short answer: yes, yes you are. It's time to hop on the bandwagon and discover your new summer hobby. So I'm busy eyeing the best pickleball paddles and carefully crafting my pickleball wardrobe to get started.

With any kind of physical activity, your workout clothes are gonna have a big effect on your performance, mobility, etc. For a sport like pickleball, think more tennis or golf wear than typical gym apparel (like leggings and a T-shirt). Skorts that allow freedom of movement and fitted, breathable tops are gonna be your best friend. Of course, you can wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, but those are some basic ~guidelines~ to keep in mind when putting together your pickleball outfits.
