But steer clear of gifts that are too practical like vacuums or elliptical machines. “Don't get them something to help them clean or get in shape or anything along those lines unless they've specifically asked for it,” she advises.
And if you want to score deals on your holiday list, you'll want to shop early. “Start looking for sales on these items now,” says Ramhold. “Plenty of retailers are encouraging consumers to shop early because of inflation this year, so discounts are starting early.”
