So, rapper DaBaby is defending himself after James Charles called him out for dissing JoJo Siwa in his new song and if that sentence is confusing to you, you're not alone.

It all started when rapper DaBaby released his latest track, "Beatbox Freestyle," which features the lyric, "You a b*tch, JoJo Siwa (B*tch)." Obviously, at first glance, this seems like a major diss to JoJo and James Charles wasn't pleased about it. "Can someone please explain why da baby is dissing jojo siwa when she’s 12 years younger, 10 times richer, and 2 inches taller than him," he tweeted.

Nikita Dragun also stood up for JoJo, tweeting, "Dababy don’t play with my girl jojo siwa. put some respect on her name little boy."

DaBaby, meanwhile, was unfazed. One fan tweeted at him saying, "Bae I don’t “Siwa “ they so mad at you," to which the rapper responded, "😂 I don’t “Siwa” they so mad either bae."

It turns out that the lyric wasn't a diss, but actually a play on words. DaBaby's real name is Jonathan and JoJo could be a nickname for that. Plus, as you can see in his tweet above, he's using Siwa as a play on "see why." So, when he says "JoJo Siwa," he's really saying "Jonathan see why."

DaBaby even tweeted at JoJo, saying that he was not coming for her in the song.

"@itsjojosiwa my 3 year old princess is your number 1 fan. I bought her every product you have out. She think she you," he wrote. "Don’t let em trick you into thinking id ever have a problem with you. My word play just went over their heads. All love on my end shawty, Keep shinning!"

As of now, JoJo hasn't spoke out about the situation publicly.
