Rams receiver embarrasses entire Giants defense on 3rd and 33

Things went from bad to worse for the New York Giants.

Already trailing the visiting Los Angeles Rams 10-7, the Giants had L.A. backed up with a third-and-33, in a perfect position to give the ball back to Eli Manning.

But as things have gone all year for Big Blue, even the most favorable positions did not result in a favorable result.

Playing prevent defense under the instructions of defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, the Giants allowed a bubble screen from Jared Goff to Robert Woods go for an improbable 52-yard touchdown pass. Entering the game, New York ranked 22nd in the NFL in total passing defense.

It was that kind of day for New York, as L.A. ran it off the field in a 51-17 laugher, dropping the Giants to 1-7 on the season.
