Rae Dunn’s Latest Halloween Collection Is So Popular, It’s Scary

If you’ve ever strolled through a HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, or Marshalls, you’ve probably seen Rae Dunn’s line of ceramics. Dishes and accessories with Dunn’s signature skinny lettering have gained a large following over the past few years, so it’s no surprise people are already stocking up on her most recent Halloween collection.

It might still feel like summer outside, but “Dunn hunters,” the nickname lovingly dubbed to collectors of her ceramics, are already buying Halloween-theme mugs, bowls, candles and more. Dunn owns an Etsy store that is currently empty but is periodically stocked throughout the year. A small selection of her items are available on Amazon (like this Boo Mug, $34.97), but if you’re looking for lower prices and a larger selection, your best bet is her retail line that’s sold at HomeGoods, TJMaxx, and Marshalls.

If you’re new to Rae Dunn's creations, you might be wondering what all the fuss is about. Rae Dunn is a California-based artist known for her minimalist pottery designs. However, they’re not always widely available, so collectors have to hunt for the pieces they really want, adding to the popularity of the ceramics.

Right now, there are more than 667,000 Instagram posts including #raedunn, and Internet searches for her products have grown 8,000 percent over the past 5 years, according to Google Trends. And while we're just getting into back-to-school season, the number of Instagram posts tagged with #raedunnhalloween has already climbed to 26,000.

We've rounded up our favorite new Rae Dunn Halloween finds on Instagram so you can start collecting. We know people are already out shopping for HomeGoods’ Halloween decor, so if you want these signature ceramic products you’ll want to snag them as soon as possible.

Pumpkin Spice Everything

You already know we love a good pumpkin spice latte, so naturally, we’re already on the lookout for these simple mugs. In case you missed the announcement, Starbucks’ version of the drink is coming back so soon, so we’re officially declaring it PSL season.

Haunted Houses

These not-so-haunted ceramic birdhouses lend themselves perfectly to any sweet or scary Halloween decor. Both the black and white houses come adorned with an orange plaid bow, but you could easily transition the white design to other seasons by swapping out the ribbon.

Just a Bunch of 'Hocus Pocus'

Hocus Pocus is one of our favorite Halloween movies, so this candle will definitely be joining our seasonal decor lineup—though we doubt it has the ability to conjure up the Sanderson sisters. If you’re lucky enough to find this candle at your local store, make sure you have all the Hocus Pocus accessories from Spirit Halloween to go with it!

Trick or Treat

Whether you plan to go door-to-door this Halloween or stay home to pass out candy, this trick-or-treat jar is a must-have. Use it to store candy or other tasty Halloween treats on the counter all season.
