A Quick Look Back at Saweetie's Dating History

Saweetie is never done impressing us. The "Best Friend" rapper has approximately a gazillion projects going at once (all of which contribute to her massive-and-still-growing net worth). Don't believe us? In addition to her thriving music career, there's her spot on Forbes' 30 under 30 list, her newly-launched Icy University, her PrettyLittleThing clothing line, her partnerships with major brands like Morphe and McDonald's and her acting career (see her work in Grown-ish—you'll thank us), the 28-year-old is adding host to her ever-expanding résumé.

You can see those hosting skills in action by adding Netfix's Sex: Unzipped to your queue. The special premieres on October 26 and is all about sex positivity and aims to address misconceptions about sex and identity.

In honor of Saweetie's new addition to her professional résumé, here's a look back at her ~love~ résumé (aka her dating history).

Keith Powers: Circa 2010 - 2014

According to Capital XTRA, Saweetie and Keith Powers dated for about four years before ultimately calling it quits in 2014.

"I was in a relationship for four years from like, 18 to 22," Keith later told Hollywood Unlocked of his relationship with Saweetie. "We separated because it was just too toxic."

Justin Combs: Circa 2016 - ?

After her split from Keith, Saweetie took some time for herself before sparking a romance with Diddy's son, Justin Combs, in 2016. As Nicki Swift points out, it's not totally clear how long the pair dated, but Saweetie did seem to address the split in her 2018 track, "B.A.N.," in which she describes a man leaving her for another woman (Justin reportedly left her for model Aaleeyah Petty).

Sample lyrics:

"You not tall enough, your bank account not long enough for this / Style is weak as f**k, your d**k ain't bomb enough, boy, you a b***h. / Yeah, played the queen for a pawn b***h, yawn.

Saweetie and Quavo were first linked in the summer of 2018 and they later confirmed their love story started when the Migos member slid into her DMs.

"At first, he DMed me," Saweetie explained in March 2019 during an appearance on Big Boy’s Neighborhood. "Uou know what, it was weird because his DM went straight to my [inbox.] It went straight in, it didn’t go to the requests."

Their DM-ship quickly escalated to IRL romance thanks at least in part to the fact they "kept running into each other" (at, among other places, New York Fashion Week in 2018).

Quavo confirmed their love story's IG origins in a July 2020 interview with GQ, saying, "I seen her on my [Instagram] Explore page. I was like, 'Damn! Who is this?' So I did my research and I DM her. I was like, 'How she going to call herself icy and she don’t talk to me?' So I slid in her DM…I told her, 'You an icy girl, you need a glacier boy.'"

Sadly, Saweetie and Quavo's love wasn't destined to last forever. The couple split in March 2021 and the rapper confirmed the news personally on Twitter.

"I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women," she tweeted. "I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation."

James Harden: Circa June 2021 (Maybe?)

In June, rumors flew that Saweetie had moved on and was dating NBA star James Harden (rumors that were fueled when Quavo's fellow Migos member, Offset, apparently liked a tweet about the pair). Although Saweetie never addressed the rumors, James made headlines when he posted a couple of Instagram Story posts in response to bizarre rumors that he had sent Saweetie $100,000 via CashApp for a date.

"I’m tired of people creating these false ass stories knowing I really don’t speak on bulls**t. Leave me out of all the weird s**t. S**t trash. Back to the my real life," he wrote in the first IG Story post, according to the New York Post. In a second Story post, he reportedly added, "People on here just making s**t up for the clout. I really stay out of the way. Cashapp 100K? Beat it."

If you read the "circa" description for this one and thought, "Wow, that's surprisingly brief and specific," it's because the rumors of a romance between Saweetie and rapper Jack Harlow can be traced to a brief and specific moment in time: A flirty moment they shared on the red carpet at the 2021 BET Awards.

In the defense of people wondering if there's ~something there~ between the rappers, the moment was adorable:

Many saw the interaction as Jack shooting his shot with her, but Jack later insisted he was just a "nice person" trying to say hello to another person.

"You can’t say hello these days, I guess," he said of the moment, according to The Shade Room. "That’s a friend… That’s a friend vibe."
