  • ABC announced the cast of the new season of Dancing With the Stars.

  • Celebrities like Hannah Brown and Lamar Odom and former White House staffer Sean Spicer are all on the lineup.

Well, ABC has done it. They’ve managed to get the nation interested in Dancing With the Stars again. I haven’t thought about DWTS this much since I was a wee babe in middle school and that girl from High School Musical was a contestant. Nevertheless, this year’s cast has me hooked...but in an oh-my-god-this-is-a-nightmare kind of way.

ABC has been teasing who will try to foxtrot and waltz and mambo their way into America’s hearts all week, and it finally announced the full lineup on Good Morning America today. Y’all, it is everything you could want yet never need in a prime-time dancing competition. You might think I’m being overdramatic, but just wait until you see what I’m talking about. You probably haven’t thought about a lot of these people in a while, but their faces are no doubt burned into the back of your mind for several reasons. And without further ado, here’s the cast:

Hannah Brown from The Bachelorette, which we already knew since ABC is kind of bad at “hinting” who will be on the show. As we all know, Hannah just wrapped up her Bachelorette season and is currently not dating Tyler Cameron even though everyone wants them to get back together. There’s a conspiracy theory that Hannah and Tyler may somehow reunite on the show, so, yes, I will be watching every week. Also I just love Hannah, and I feel like she'll be good at dancing, no?

Leading up to the new season, Hannah said, “I want a fresh start, something that I can, you know, go all in with emotionally, physically, spiritually, and I think dancing is something that I can do that with.”

Lamar freaking Odom, who we all know from Keeping Up With the Kardashians but also had a promising NBA career at one point, will be on the show. Lamar hasn’t really been in the public eye since he had all those medical issues in Las Vegas, but he just wrote a book about his drug and sex addiction that led him to sleeping with more than 2,000 women and running out of porn to watch.

Lamar’s been through a lot in his lifetime, but he admitted he’s definitely going to struggle with the costumes. He said, “I don’t know if I can do sparkles.”

Sean Spicer. Yes, Donald Trump’s former White House press secretary, the man who once reportedly hid in bushes to avoid reporters and insisted Trump had a bigger inauguration turnout than Barack Obama despite some telling side-by-side photos, will be doing the tango on national television.

His strategy for the competition: “Work really, really, really hard every day.”

Other contestants include Queer Eye legend Karamo Brown, NFL player Ray Lewis, actress Kate Flannery (The Office), Kel Mitchell from Kenan & Kel and orange soda fame, The Supremes singer Mary Wilson, singer Lauren Alaina, actor James Van Der Beek, supermodel Christie Brinkley, and former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke.

This is surely going to be a glorified dumpster fire and I cannot wait until it premieres September 16.
