In a moment that we desperately hope makes it into The Crown due to being completely iconic, Queen Elizabeth got tipsy on a bunch of martinis back in the roaring '90s and called Camilla Parker Bowles a "wicked woman."
According to journalist Tom Bower's new biography Rebel Prince: The Power and Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles (best, most extra title ever), Charles confronted his mother about embracing his then-girlfriend Camilla after the death of Princess Diana in '97.
Unfortunately for the Prince, Her Royal Highness had indulged in "several martinis, and to Charles’s surprise she replied forcefully: She would not condone his adultery, nor forgive Camilla for not leaving Charles alone to allow his marriage to recover."
The Queen also called Camilla "that wicked woman," and mused, "I want nothing to do with her." Apparently this was enough to make Charles "tearfully" call Camilla on the phone, bless him. Obviously, the pair ended up getting married, but in even more LOL news, the Queen "hinted that there was very little special Welsh gold left to make Camilla’s wedding ring."
Bye! That's all!
