Queen Elizabeth Gives Prince William a New Royal Title After Not Letting Prince Harry Keep His

From Cosmopolitan

Someone needs to send help, cause I need to figure out whether or not some major royal shade just happened, and, to quote Kris Jenner, this is a case for the FBI!

So here's what happened: After not letting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle keep their royal titles, Queen Elizabeth just went ahead and gave Prince William another royal title. According to People, the Queen just appointed William the new Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. Per the outlet, "In the position, William will become the British monarch’s personal representative to the Church of Scotland, carrying out various official visits and ceremonial duties."

And cause I know you're wondering, no, that title wasn't previously Harry's. But still, the timing is a little sus, right? I mean, this comes after Harry admitted that he didn't get what he wanted from the royal step-down agreement, saying in a speech, "Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the Commonwealth, and my military associations, but without public funding. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible. I've accepted this, knowing that it doesn't change who I am or how committed I am."

That said, whether this is shade or not, it looks like Meghan won't really care. A source recently shared that Meghan "feels free" and "has never been happier" since her split from the royal fam—so I highly doubt that William getting a fancy new title will make her regret the decision even a little bit!
