Queen Elizabeth Debuted a Sunny Outfit for a Sunday Church Outing

Queen Elizabeth opted for a sunny yellow outfit for a church outing over the weekend.

On Sunday (December 29), the Queen headed out to a service at Mary Magdalene Church at her Sandringham estate clad in a cheery ensemble. It included a bright yellow coat topped off with a matching hat with a black trim complete with a matching feather. To top things off, she paired her sunshiny look with dark stockings and modest black heels.

The monarch was joined by her daughter-in-law Sophie, the Countess of Wessex in her car, while the church service also attracted her children Prince Charles, Prince Edward, and Princess Anne. Anne's husband Sir Timothy Laurence was also present in addition to Edward and Sophie's daughter Lady Louise Windsor.

Of course, missing from the church service were Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who are still currently away on their extended royal hiatus. The couple spent Christmas with Meghan's mother Doria Ragland as they brought their baby son Archie along with them. Even though they weren't around to hear the Queen's annual Christmas speech in person, Archie got a special mention.

"Two hundred years on from the birth of my great, great grandmother, Queen Victoria, Prince Philip and I have been delighted to welcome our eighth great-grandchild into our family," the Queen said of 7-month-old Archie.

"Of course, at the heart of the Christmas story lies the birth of a child: a seemingly small and insignificant step overlooked by many in Bethlehem. But in time, through his teaching and by his example, Jesus Christ would show the world how small steps taken in faith and in hope can overcome long-held differences and deep-seated divisions to bring harmony and understanding," she continued during her touching holiday monologue.

As the royals ring in 2020, the hiatus will likely soon be coming to an end. Will the Queen debut a New Year's outfit? We'll have to wait and see.
