Put your fears about wearing paper bag pants to rest with this mom's 'super flattering' style tip

Fashion influencer and creative director Paola Alberdi of Blank Itinerary has amassed one million Instagram followers. But even she understands how social media can be very misleading by painting her life as “picture perfect.”

“If you go on my Instagram, you’ll see beautiful photos. But it’s important to be real with your followers,” Alberdi tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

The 30-year-old’s IG feed is an elegant, envy-inducing curation of visuals that show off her chic city style, beachy family vacations and adorable almost-2-year-old son, Enzo. But when she peels back those glamorous layers, Alberdi reveals that she too went through a phase of rediscovery as a new mom, and was able to “grow a little bit more confident” while experimenting with different trends.

Most recently, Alberdi put on her designer hat and collaborated with Amazon the Drop for a capsule collection that echoes her personal style, which she describes as “feminine, modern and sophisticated.” When asked about her favorite piece from the limited-edition line, Alberdi’s didn’t hesitate: “The pink matching set.” This combo is also one of her top three summer fashion trends.

Comprised of an oversized blazer and paper bag pants, Alberdi says, “It’s really effortless. Even as a new mom, you can throw something on and not think about it.”

You’re probably wondering how the heck do you pull off pants with such a relaxed, slouchy shape. Well, Alberdi reassures us that this style is “super flattering,” especially when paired with a fitted blouse or tee that’s tucked in, to add structure and create the illusion of a long physique.
