Put Deadpool on Your Feet with This DC Shoes Collection

DC is crossing over with Marvel for an epic collection. No, not that DC. We don’t think we’re going to see one of those crossovers anytime soon. We mean DC Shoes and Marvel. They’re collaborating on Deadpool, specifically. Announced via the official Marvel site, this new collection of adult footwear and apparel showcases the Merc with the Mouth with vintage art from the original Marvel comic books. True to form, Deadpool breaks the fourth wall within the collection. Both the shoes and the clothing feature custom quotes and artwork of Deadpool poking fun at himself (as usual) and the DC Shoes brand. Everything in this collection is given the classic Wade Wilson treatment, from the box art and tissue paper to all the chimichanga references.

The standout of this collection is the Manteca shoe. It features a distressed waxed canvas to replicate Deadpool’s iconic red and black suit. Another standout is the Manual Hi with a digital print featuring original Deadpool comic book art from 1994. That just so happens to be the same year that DC Shoes launched as a brand. A range of DC Shoes’ best-selling Essential styles and wearable apparel staples for adults round out the Deadpool collection.

As a way of celebrating this collaboration, DC Shoes and Marvel created a new custom comic book—one where Deadpool travels back to 1994 and meets the DC Shoes team members. Besides being a milestone for DC Shows, that era marks when Deadpool began becoming a fan-favorite character in the X-Men titles. Although not for sale, 5,000 copies of this special comic will be distributed globally through giveaways and partnerships.

The Marvel X DC Shoes Collection will become available globally at select stores and at dcshoes.com on November 5.
