The best part? We'll be releasing new picks weekly. So without further ado, here are PureWow’s entertainment picks for the week of Monday, November 28, 2022.

PureWow Pick for Most Disturbing Dose of Nostalgia: The New Barney Docuseries

Like us, you might still harbor an unhealthy dose of animosity towards a lovable purple dinosaur, thanks to a certain song that easily can get stuck in your head (“I love you...”). But now, Peacock is here with a fascinating and disturbing look behind the wildly successful PBS show, Barney & Friends. Why was there always a dark cloud hanging over the show and the fun-loving dinosaur himself? The new two-episode docuseries, called I Love You, You Hate Me, dives into all that and more. And it's a must-watch whether you were a Barney fan or a Barney hater growing up. — Philip Mutz, PureWow’s VP of News & Entertainment

PureWow Pick for Best Music Comeback Announcement: J.Lo’s ‘This Is Me... Now’

It feels like Christmas came a few weeks early, because Jenny from the Block is officially delivering new music. Right in time for the 20th anniversary of her third studio album, the pop star announced her upcoming album by sharing a video of herself recreating the cover for This Is Me... Then on IG (which, FYI, could've totally fooled us). Even better, Lopez has already released the full track list. And by the looks of those titles (like “Dear Ben pt. II” and “This Time Around”), this album will most likely be a sweet tribute to her husband, Ben Affleck. We'll have to wait until 2023 to hear these new songs, but something tells us that Lopez is about to take us into a brand-new era. And we are SO ready.  — Nakeisha Campbell, PureWow’s Associate Editor of Entertainment & News

PureWow Pick for Best Blast from the Past: ‘Pepsi, Where’s My Jet?’

When this first popped up on our Netflix homepage, we immediately thought, “Wow. They’ll make a documentary about anything nowadays.” Still, we were intrigued enough to watch the first episode…and we didn’t want to stop. The four-part documentary follows the infamous case of John Leonard, a young man who “wins” a fighter jet in a Pepsi sweepstakes. When the company says it was a joke, he pursues legal action. Even if you know how the case ends, the documentary features must-see interviews with Leonard and the Pepsi execs who created the commercial. — Greta Heggeness, PureWow’s Senior Editor of News & Entertainment

PureWow Pick for Most Surprising Fashion Inspiration: Wednesday Addams

Throughout her many on-screen iterations, Wednesday Addams has been known for being sarcastic, intimidating, witty, agile, cynical, etc. But, we would have never exactly called her a fashion icon. That all changes in the new Netflix dark comedy, Wednesday, which focuses on the young Addams Family character as she attends a new boarding school for "outcasts." There, Wednesday certainly stands out with her strict black-and-white wardrobe, but she brings life to this simple palette—the same way Moira Rose does in Schitt's CreekThanks to costume designer Colleen Atwood's creative eye, Wednesday is outfitted in everything from an all-black fencing suit to an ethereal tulle dress from Alaïa. And whenever we weren't focused on Jenna Ortega's fabulous acting, it was usually because we were staring at her clothes. — Joel Calfee, Assistant Editor of News & Entertainment

PureWow Pick for Most Binge-Worthy Teen Drama: ‘Blood & Water’ Season 3

Do you remember how we were totally obsessing over one of our new favorite shows, Blood & Water? Well, the entire third season has finally premiered on Netflix and you know we had to binge-watch. From the never-ending twists and turns to the constant cliffhangers, this new season had us glued to our television screen from beginning to end. And don’t even get us started on how there are only six episodes this season (*gives Netflix the side eye*). — Karelle McKay, Assistant Editor of News & Entertainment
