This Pug Riding a White Claw Boat Is Living Its Best Life
Back in the summer of 2019, it seemed that no matter where you went or what you did, you’d find people drinking White Claws. Almost overnight, it became the de facto beverage for outdoor summer drinking. That trend seems to have largely persisted into 2020, except for the fact that most of us have even more free time, but nowhere to go.
While it’d be easy enough to just sit back and chug Claws until America is a sane, functioning country again, TikTok user @TWHancock with a literal boatload of Claws, some crafting skills, and a ton of free time just created what has to be the best use of a pool, a dog, and alcohol the world has ever seen.
Yup: that’s a pug, dressed like a pirate, floating in a sailboat made out of empty White Claw cans and boxes. I really don’t know what to say about that other than that it’s definitely a Vibe and a Mood. I would trade places that pug in a heartbeat.
Thematically, this, shall we say, conceptual art project makes perfect sense. Everyone knows that famously there are no laws when you’re drinking Claws. At the same time, pirates were defined by their lawlessness on the open ocean. Not only that, but international waters remains the one place left on earth where there really, truly are no laws. For the most part, I’d consider pugs one of the more lawful breeds of dogs, but don’t let that distract from the bigger picture here.
As the TikTok’s caption says, “Imagine what I could do with 3 more months of quarantine.” Given that Covid-19 isn’t about to suddenly disappear, I know I’ll be keeping a close eye on what this pug is cruising on by the end of the year. Some kind of Mad Max war rig made out of Four Loko cans? Who knows what the future holds. But for now, let this delightful image of a pug afloat on a White Claw boat brighten your day.
