Publix Pub Sub Delivery Now Available on Instacart and They're Celebrating with a Team Pub Sub Shirt Giveaway
Amid the coronavirus crisis, Instacart—a grocery pickup and delivery service that allows users to buy groceries and sundries from their favorite supermarkets like Aldi, Publix, and Costco— has been a veritable blessing for millions of Americans. Especially for those who are elderly, immunocompromised, or have another underlying condition putting them at risk for severe complications from coronavirus, the service allows users to stay safe at home and get their groceries delivered in just a few hours time. (And lest you ask: Yes, if a a supermarket is out of your favorite brand of sweet tea, you can chat with your shopper in real-time to find a suitable replacement.)
Now, they've just blessed our Southern hearts with news that starting today they have completed the rollout of its Instacart Meals product with Publix stores across the Southeast, thus offering same-day delivery (and pickup) of Publix's fan-favorite "build your own" Pub Subs across the Southeast. To toast the news, Instacart is giving the first 500 customers who purchase a Publix sub for delivery or pickup on the platform through July 23rd a free, limited-edition “Team Pub Sub” T-shirt.
The Instacart Meals product makes it easy for customers to order specialty counter items, such as Pub Subs, with every Instacart order they place for their groceries and household essentials. Publix's new digital deli counter on Instacart makes it easy for customers to order Pub Subs and other deli faves when grocery shopping from afar. The product initially started at Publix locations across Florida in January, and with this expansion it is now available to nearly all Publix stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia.
“Since the launch of Instacart Meals, customers have ordered enough Pub Subs via Instacart to span the length of 758 football fields, which tells us that people appreciate the convenience and options,” said Neera Chatterjee, Senior Product Manager at Instacart. “Instacart’s digital deli counter’s ‘Build your Own’ and Smart Cart Combo features enable online customers to build their Pub Sub with endless combinations and take advantage of Publix’s signature money-saving sub combo.”
