Psst: We Have Your Invitation to the World’s Largest Wine Tasting (and It’s for a Good Cause)

Wine tastings are pretty high on the list of things we’ve missed most in quarantine (right after boozy brunch and midnight movies). Virtual vino events have held us over pretty well though, and the biggest remote wine tasting the world’s ever seen is only days away.

Uncorked Adventures, a nonprofit dedicated to helping those with Parkinson’s Disease, has teamed up with Wine Insiders, one of the leading online wine marketplaces, to break the world record for the largest virtual wine tasting: UnCorking a Cure. Once you’re registered, you'll be able to sip your way through award-winning vintages from the comfort of your cozy couch.

The one-hour tasting will be led by a world-renowned Master Sommelier, a wine director and a Champagne specialist, who will go over tasting notes, offer tips to improve your tasting chops and answer any questions you have. They'll be pouring a 2018 California Pinot Noir, a 2019 Picpoul de Pinet and a 2019 Costières de Nîmes Rouge.

There are two ways to reserve your seat at the bar: Donate $25 or more to the cause and score a ticket (sans booze), or order a three-, six- or 12-pack of wine for a free registration (most of the wine profits will also be donated). Proceeds will benefit The Parkinson’s Foundation and The Michael J. Fox Foundation. The tasting takes place on Thursday, November 5 at 8 p.m. Central time. Cheers.
