There are seemingly countless pitfalls that come with selling products online. That’s especially true in the competitive sneaker resale market.
This week’s episode of Complex and In The Know’s The Flip explores just how to navigate this tough situation. Host Racks Rogan shares a few tips on how to avoid scams or shady buyers and how to maintain a secure reselling experience.
“The best way that you can protect yourself from untrustworthy customers online is [to] just make sure you do your due diligence when it comes to setting up your online shopping process or experience,” Racks said.
Another way to proactively ensure your safety is by using a reliable and secure pay site to process your sales.
“Make sure that whatever pay site you’re using or however you’ve got it set up on the backend, it protects you — the seller,” he added. “If you encounter any fraud or anything like that, you’re protected and you’re covered.”
Also, if you encounter a customer who has a sketchy past or a disgraceful reputation, Racks recommends simply being transparent.
“If you notice a customer has a history of doing some untrustworthy things, make sure you alert and let people within the community know so that you can protect and help some of your fellow colleagues and comrades,” he continued.
Check out the video above to see which kicks Racks put on the “Hot” and “Not” lists and which of this week’s hottest releases are worth putting on the resale market.
