Whether they used a dating app or slid into the DMs, all kinds of celebrities (from Olympians to Bachelor alums) have met their significant others online. Sure, some of these couples are no more, but they still owe their once-blossoming relationships to a little thing called the internet. So the next time you get the urge to delete your dating apps, deactivate your social media, and throw your phone out the nearest window, just remember: If two-thirds of the Jonas Brothers can meet someone online, so can you!

The Olympic gymnast made her Instagram crush a reality when she DMed NFL player Jonathan Owens. The two have been together since 2020, and got engaged on Valentine's Day two years after they first met.

Modern Family star Sarah made the first move on her now-fiance, admitting she had a crush on the Bachelor in Paradise bartender on Twitter. Fans can still check out the flirty exchange that followed and led to their adorable love story!

It took more than a casual DM for Nick to catch Priyanka's attention. After texting the actress' Quantico costar Graham Rogers "Priyanka. Is. Wow," he took to Twitter (yes, Twitter!) to message her, writing: "I'm hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet."

Yet another JoBro can thank the internet for meeting his wife. "We had a lot of mutual friends and they'd been trying to introduce us for a long time," the Game of Thrones actress told Harper's BAZAAR. Adam and Behati didn't meet on social media or dating apps, but rather an unexpected email. The Maroon 5 frontman originally reached out to ask if the model would like to be in his music video. She couldn't take the job, but their messages continued for a month until they finally met in person—and now they're married with two children. "It was such a natural correspondence that we kind of fell in love over email," Behati revealed to Porter.

Forget Bumble, Hinge, and Instagram—these two first met on Zoom during a virtual meditation group. Afterwards, Vanessa hit up the Pittsburgh Pirates player's DMs. "I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, 'Hey, it was nice to meet you.' So I think there is no shame in making the first move," she told Drew Barrymore.

The comedian and the artist's two-year relationship, which ended in 2017, started on Raya. Amy created a profile on the celebrity dating app with SNL alum Vanessa Bayer. "Vanessa and I posted our profiles at the same time and scream-giggled like little girls," she wrote in her book The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo. Within 40 minutes, she and Ben had matched.
