Princess Kate Just Revealed Her Adorable Nickname for Prince Louis
The Princess of Wales just shared her touching nickname for her youngest child, Prince Louis.
While the family was volunteering with a Scout troop as part of the “Big Help Out”—a nationwide volunteering initiative in honor of the coronation of King Charles—they took some time to make s’mores over a fire pit. While handing Louis a stick, the mother was overheard telling him to “Pop that in the fire, Lou Bug.” The internet soon lit up with the “Lou Bug” reference, with many on social media commenting on the particularly cute nature of the moniker.
The Princess of Wales has also previously revealed that she and Prince William call Charlotte “Lottie.” In 2019, during a visit to Northern Ireland, the then Duchess of Cambridge asked a woman how old her son was. When she said he was four, Kate responded: “Oh, he’s the same age as Lottie,” according to the fan. In addition, it’s said that William has also used the name “mignonette” when referring to his daughter, a French term of endearment.
It’s been a big few days for little Prince Louis. On Saturday, he set the internet abuzz with his many moods throughout the events surrounding his grandfather’s coronation. During the formal ceremony at Westminster Abbey, he held hands with his sister, pointed to various things in the crowd, and stared up at the ceiling. Meanwhile, on the way back to Buckingham Palace he was spotted yawning in his carriage. (To be fair—it was a long day, especially for a five-year-old.) And while the whole family appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony, Louis give a double-handed wave to the crowd’s delight. Seems like the young royal already knows how to charm an audience.
