Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, found a way to honor their family while still being totally unique with their name choice for their newborn son. The new parents welcomed their baby boy on February 9. We’ve been waiting a total of 11 days to find out what we should call the bb. Now, we finally know!

“We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank 💙💙💙⁣,” she captioned a portrait of herself, Jack, and August. “Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can’t express. We are excited to be able to share these photos with you.⁣”

Princess Eugenie credited her “wonderful midwife” for the sweet photo and made a point to shout out all the people who worked to keep her baby safe during the pandemic. “Thank you to the wonderful essential workers including our midwife who came to discharge our boy,” she continued.

August is partly named after Eugenie’s grandfather Prince Philip, who is currently in the hospital in London. In an Instagram Story, she explained that she’s releasing August’s name and photo in honor of him and in honor of her father Prince Andrew’s birthday. “On his grandfather’s birthday weekend, thinking of my grandfather, we are introducing our little boy,” she wrote. “He is named after his great-grandfather and both of his great x5 grandfathers.”

Eugenie’s mom, Sarah, the Duchess of York, also shared the news on Instagram. “As grandparents, the duke and I are thrilled and blessed at the arrival of our grandson August Philip Hawke Brooksbank,” she wrote. “He is a beautiful blessing and a bringer of such love and joy to all our family. I am so proud of Jack and Eugenie, they are and will be wonderful parents.”
