Princess Eugenie has shared a sweet Instagram post congratulating Princess Beatrice on her pregnancy - and her nickname for her sister is so cute!
The royal family announced Beatrice's baby news on social media earlier this week, with a statement reading: "👶 Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year. The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news."
Princess Eugenie has been quick to congratulate her sister on the happy news, sharing two pictures of Beatrice and husband Edo on her official Instagram account. The first photo is a gorgeous shot from the couple's wedding back in July, while the second is a more rogue choice: a sweet off-duty selfie of Beatrice and Edo smiling in front of a waterfall.
Eugenie jokingly combined her congratulations message to Beatrice with a post marking World Bee Day, revealing her adorable nicknames for her sister, as she calls her "Bea" and then "Beabea". So cute!
"It's World Bee Day!! 🐝🐝 A day to celebrate nature's most badass little friend with their black and yellow stripes.." Eugenie wrote in her caption. "But our furry little friends have to share today with my big sis Bea (🐝) who's got a little one on the way. Beabea and Edo huge congratulations on your news - can't wait to meet the little one 🥳🥳 #worldbeeday #savethebees," she continued.
Princess Beatrice's husband, Edo Mapelli Mozzi, was quick to comment on Eugenie's post, sharing his thoughts on Beatrice's pregnancy publicly for the first time. He wrote, "Thank you. So thrilled our little family is growing ❤️". Edo already has a son, Christopher (nicknamed 'Wolfie') born in 2016, and Beatrice reportedly loves being a stepmother - so no doubt Wolfie is excited to meet his younger sibling too!
Princess Eugenie welcomed her first child, a baby boy named August, back in February, while Beatrice's baby is due in autumn this year, meaning the two cousins will only be less than a year apart in age.
