On Saturday, Princess Eugenie shared three gorgeous portraits of her newborn baby boy—and revealed his full name for the first time.

"We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.. 💙💙💙" she wrote on Instagram. "Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can't express. We are excited to be able to share these photos with you.⁣"

The pictures of the new family of three were taken by her midwife. "Thank you to the wonderful essential workers including midwife who came to discharge our boy," Eugenie added to the caption.

In her Instagram stories, Eugenie further shared the meaning behind her newborn's name. She wrote: "He is named after his great grandfather and both of his great x5 grandfathers." Of course, the nod to Prince Philip is especially poignant right now, as he is currently in the hospital after feeling unwell. Though, on Friday, a royal source told Town & Country that the 99-year old Duke of Edinburgh "remains in good spirits."

In the pictures, little August matches proud papa Jack Brooksbank, and is swathed in shades of blue, while the new mom can be seen wearing a classic cream-colored turtleneck and a light brown jacket, which Eugenie paired with a statement-making headband, Jennifer Behr's velvet Theda style, in the color topaz. These oversized hair accessories have been quite popular with royal women in recent years. The Duchess of Cambridge, in particular frequently sported the style on engagements, pre-pandemic.
