Congrats to Princess Eugenie of York, who announced her engagement to longtime love Jack Brooksbank! The exciting royal news was announced via Buckingham Palace on Twitter Monday morning and was quickly followed by a release of new photos of the couple.

The shots, taken at Buckingham Palace, showed the two lovebirds smiling side-by-side, holding hands. Eugenie's hand covers Jack's, where she shows off her new rock. If you look closely, you'll notice the ring's design, which looks quite similar to mom Sarah Ferguson's engagement ring.

While her mom's ring, which was given to her when Prince Andrew proposed in 1986, was set with a pink Burma stone, Eugenie's ring features a salmon-hued gem. Both rings are surrounded by a halo of diamonds and are set on a gold band.

According to the Daily Mail, experts value Eugenie's ring at £7,000 due to the color of the padparadscha sapphire. They claim that the orange hue offers an unnatural tint, thus lowering the value of the rock.

The couple has been together for more than 7 years after meeting at Newcastle University in 2010. Buckingham Palace revealed Jack proposed to Eugenie on a trip earlier this month to Nicaragua. The couple will be married in the fall of next year in St. George's chapel, where Harry and Meghan will wed in May.
